Parrow Named President & CEO As John Pringle Retires From Development Firm

Dr. Alan Parrow has been named CEO of Pringle Development, a position held by John Pringle until his recent retirement.

Starting as a sales manager with Pringle in 1999, Parrow helped grow the company from $20 million in revenues that year to roughly $130 million in the most recent fiscal year.

Prior to joining the company, Parrow and wife Carol owned their own real estate company in North Carolina, building it from two employees in 1990 to the largest brokerage in their county in 1994.

A social psychologist with a PhD from Duke University, Parrow is a member of the Business Advisory Council and a member of the Association of Florida Community Developers. He serves on various boards and civic committees, and volunteers with several charitable organizations. The Parrows have twin sons who will soon graduate from the University of Central Florida.

In June 2004, the Pringle Family, which has been developing and building properties in Lake County for more than 80 years, sold the company to its employees becoming the first Employee Stock Ownership Program Developer in Lake County.

Pringle Development, Inc. was recently named one of only three development companies nationwide to receive a silver award winner in the 2006 National Housing Quality (NHQ) Awards, given by the NAHB Research Center and Reed Business Information, publishers of Professional Builder and Professional Remodeler magazines.

The company currently has three communities in Lake County; Legacy of Leesburg, Lakes of Mount Dora and The Heritage.
