One of the major components to an effective HVAC system is the air conditioner. Pringle Homebuilding Group installs a Lennox 14 SEER Variable Speed air conditioner that is ENERGY STAR qualified, which means it meets or exceeds EPA guidelines for energy efficiency. The tonnage of your A/C unit is determined by your A/C contractor and local building codes. It is based off the size of your house, numbers of rooms, orientation etc… This will insure that all the equipment will work in unison and give you the most efficient system possible.

Another key component to an effective heating and cooling system is the thermostat. We provide a Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 easy to use touch screen programmable thermostat as a standard. This thermostat allows you the ability to program all 7 days for maximum comfort when home and save money when away. The thermostat is pre-set with energy saving settings that can save you as much as 33% in heating and cooling expenses.

The last component we are going to talk about is one that you might not be able to visually notice, sealed duct work. With a forced air system the ducts are used to distribute conditioned air throughout the house. Typical homes will loose up to 20% of this conditioned air just due to leaks and poorly sealed connections. All PHG ENERGY STAR Certified homes require flexible insulated ducts that are sealed with mastic at any connection. We also insure a no leak seal at all registers and grills.
