Discovering Your Best Retirement Part 2 - Defining Your Best Retirement Lifestyle
So how to proceed? Your list should begin by being very broad and general in terms of your vision. For instance, try categorizing the type of climate you desire: year-round-sun? Four seasons? Deep annual snows? Other broad categories may include “coastal or interior”, “city, town or suburb”, “proximity to family” and “transportation needs”. Try to broadly identify what you most enjoy, and the setting in which you enjoy these things. Actually writing or typing a list helps to clarify and prioritize what it is you really want in your retirement. . Be sure that your list is written in positive terms—your “do wants”, not your “don’t wants”. Think about how important each item is when compared to the others, and whether some of your wants might exclude some of the others- this will help show areas you may have to prioritize and compromise to get your best outcome. Every list will be unique, so there’s no right or wrong way to do it. The important thing is that you MAKE THE LIST. Because that’s the first step in defining your personal best retirement… Brought to you by Pringle Homebuilding Group - The Best Builder of Florida Retirement Communities |
